Is Advance Right For Me?

HSBC ADVANCE*
Minimum monthly salary transferred to HSBC* EGP10,000 (or equivalent in foreign currency) or more
Minimum monthly average balance in deposits and/or investments EGP150,000 (or equivalent in foreign currency) or more

* Original salary letter must be submitted to HSBC. A minimum monthly gross salary amount of EGP10,000 must be credited to your account each month.
Monthly service fee per account may apply if the balance eligibility criteria are not met. Please refer to our Schedule of Tariffs, as amended from time to time, for more information.

Monthly service fee per account will apply if the customer is Advance based on salary criteria and their employer is not on the Bank’s approved list of companies. Please refer to our Schedule of Tariffs, as amended from time to time, for more information.

Required Documents  

You need to complete the Account opening process by personally visiting any of our Branches or Customer Service Units, with the following documents 1

  • Valid National ID / Passports for Egyptians
  • Valid passports for Expatriates Residents and Non-Residents
  • Copy of the Entry Visa (for Expatriates Residents and Non-Residents)
  • Proof of address-an electricity bill, telephone bill/ rental contract

Additional documents required for Advance by salary-based eligibility criteria:

  • Salary transfer letter in the bank’s pre-set format2

We may request further information or documentation from you, in order to comply with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). Click here to find out more.

2 Not required for existing pay roll customers
